syncs is a library of coding-interview solutions you can watch, change and question. This page says exactly what we keep and who else sees it. It is short because we keep little.
What we keep
Your account. Your email address, your name, and your picture if you signed in with Google. Nothing else. We never see your Google password.
What you post. A sync is your keystrokes with their timings, your voice recording, the code you ended on, and what you labelled it. Posting makes it public: anyone can watch it, and your name is on it.
How much of Blink you have used. A count per day, so we can stop before the bill does. It is a number, not a record of what you asked.
Your email, if you asked to hear more. That and which of the two buttons you pressed. Nothing is attached to it.
What stays on your computer
Code you type before you record, and a take you have made but not posted, are kept in your own browser. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them, and so does signing in as someone else — a draft belongs to the account that made it.
What we count, without knowing who you are
We count how many browsers reached a page or pressed a button, once per browser per day. What is sent is the name of the thing, and nothing else: no cookie, no identifier, no address. The result is a number per day. It can tell us that nobody found the library. It cannot tell us that you did not.
Who else sees it
The companies below do one job each, and receive only what that job needs.
- Supabase — the database and the audio files.
- Vercel — running the site.
- Google — your voice, while you are talking to Blink.
- ElevenLabs — a take’s audio, when you ask Blink to edit it.
- Anthropic and OpenRouter — your question and the sync it is about, when you ask Blink something in writing.
Nobody else. We do not sell anything to anyone, and there are no advertisers or trackers on this site. If this list changes, this page changes with it.
Where it is held
In the United States. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, using syncs means your data is transferred there, under the standard contractual clauses the companies above operate with.
What we do not do
We do not use your recordings or your code to train any model. We do not read your syncs for anything except running the site. We do not put a tracking pixel in an email or anywhere else.
How long we keep it
A posted sync stays until you delete it. Your account stays until you ask us to remove it. Daily counts are kept for a year and then dropped. An email address on the list stays until you ask to come off. A draft on your own computer is thrown away after a week if you never come back to it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you everything we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send it to you in a file you can use elsewhere, stop us using it, or withdraw a permission you gave. We will not charge you and we will not ask why.
You can delete any sync you posted from its own page, whenever you like. The recording and its audio go with it.
Deleting your whole account is not yet a button. Until it is, email an address we are setting up — ask in the meantime through the sign-in page and we will delete the account, everything you posted and your audio, and tell you when it is done, within seven days. The same address takes you off the email list.
If we get it wrong, you can complain to your data protection regulator — in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
syncs is for people preparing for engineering interviews. It is not meant for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly keep anything about them.
When this changes
If what we keep changes, this page changes on the same day, and the date at the top changes with it. If it ever changes in a way that matters, the email list hears from us first.
Questions: an address we are setting up — ask in the meantime through the sign-in page. Terms.
